Purpose-built interview preparation instead of a general meeting assistant
Cluely is a broad meeting, sales, homework, and conversation assistant. InterviewNail is designed around the complete interview workflow: free Profiles and Content, local transcription, resume-grounded answers, screen analysis, practice, and a one-time Windows license.
InterviewNail is the better fit when the primary job is preparing for and navigating interviews. Cluely is the better fit when one subscription must cover many kinds of meetings and general conversations on Mac or mobile.

Why InterviewNail is better for many users
1. InterviewNail is designed around interview outcomes
Its data model, actions, and preparation workflows are built for a company, role, interview stage, job description, focus topics, Resume Summary, and selected evidence. Cluely intentionally serves a wider range of meetings, homework, and sales calls, so its public workflow is less specialized for building a reusable interview portfolio.
2. A one-time license avoids the expensive stealth tier
Cluely currently places screen-share undetectability in a $149.99 monthly tier. InterviewNail provides compatible Windows capture exclusion as an application option within a $79 introductory or $95 regular one-time license, while warning the user if Windows cannot apply it.
3. Local transcription creates a clearer privacy boundary
InterviewNail transcribes raw audio locally and does not send the audio file to the AI provider. Cluely publicly emphasizes meeting notes and account-level access to past meetings; it does not document an equivalent local Whisper architecture.
4. The free InterviewNail workspace is reusable interview infrastructure
Profiles and Content are not a small message quota. They are a permanent local preparation system the user can organize before deciding whether to buy licensed live features.
5. InterviewNail offers screen intent and practice modes
Dedicated Solve, Explain, and Wrong actions, standalone Test Questions, and configurable Mock Interviews provide interview-specific workflows that are not publicly documented in Cluely's general meeting product.
Purpose-built interview preparation instead of a general meeting assistant
Cluely is useful when the user wants a broad AI layer for many conversations. InterviewNail is built for the interview itself: organize company-specific evidence free, rehearse with profile-grounded questions, keep raw audio local, and use dedicated controls for spoken questions, microphone context, screen problems, and technical explanations.
Why choose InterviewNail
- Start free: Build local Content and company Profiles before purchasing.
- Buy once: $79 introductory pricing; $95 regular price.

Compared with Cluely, InterviewNail is designed for candidates who want to own a local Windows interview workspace, organize reusable company-specific evidence, keep raw audio on the device, and choose how AI access is funded.
