Terms of Use

Draft — not final. This is placeholder content for internal/dev testing of the license-acceptance flow, not reviewed by counsel and not binding on anyone. It will be replaced with real, legally-reviewed Terms of Use before this page is ever shown to a real customer.

1. Acceptance

By activating a license key, installing, or using InterviewNail, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't activate or use the app.

2. The software

A license purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use InterviewNail on up to the number of devices your license allows (currently 2), for the major version you purchased. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — you keep using the version you bought for as long as you like. Free updates within that major version are included; a new major version is a separate purchase.

3. Your license key and devices

Your license key activates InterviewNail on a device and is tied to that device until you deactivate it. You can manage which devices are active from the customer portal. Sharing your license key with people outside your own devices, or attempting to bypass the device limit, is not permitted.

4. AI features

AI-assisted features are optional and work one of two ways, your choice: bring your own AI provider API key (used directly from your device, never sent to InterviewNail), or buy prepaid AI credits from InterviewNail. Prepaid credits are a one-time purchase, never a subscription, and don't expire.

5. Payments

Purchases are processed by Stripe. InterviewNail does not store your payment card details.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or resell InterviewNail, and not to attempt to circumvent license activation, device limits, or AI credit metering.

7. Disclaimers

InterviewNail is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, InterviewNail is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, you'll be asked to review and re-accept the new version the next time you use the app.
